Job Description:

Purpose:

A manufacturing company is seeking a Sales Manager who will lead their internal and external sales teams within a highly technical industrial environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strong customer relationships across multiple industrial sectors. This role is best suited to a technically minded sales professional with proven leadership experience in machinery, manufacturing, OEM equipment, or related environments


Key Job Outputs:

  • Lead and manage internal and external sales teams to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans aligned to company goals
  • Drive business development initiatives and secure new market opportunities
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Grow existing customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities
  • Manage sales forecasting, reporting, and performance metrics
  • Conduct market analysis, including competitor activity and customer segmentation
  • Oversee pricing strategies, margin management, and commercial risk
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to sales team members
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to improve sales strategies and operational efficiency
  • Ensure effective use of company systems, processes, and financial principles

Qualifications:

  • NQF Level 6 qualification in a business or technical field


Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in technical sales
  • Proven track record of leading and managing sales teams
  • Strong experience in coaching, mentoring, and team development
  • Demonstrated experience in:
  • Machinery
  • Manufacturing equipment
  • OEM equipment
  • Advantageous: Experience within the thermal energy industry


Salary: Market related
