Account Manager –Retentions / Client Sales Account Manager
Job Description:
Purpose:
A leading financial services company is seeking a high performance and results driven Account Manager who is experienced in retaining and up-selling existing accounts in a high-volume sales environment. With a portfolio of over 200 clients, who will be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients and continuing to advance their ambition through servicing their ongoing funding requirements
Key Job Outputs:
- Consistently achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual growth, funded, revenue and other relevant performance targets
- Managing your own set portfolio of clients, ensuring that they know you by name as their account manager, you are to touch base with all clients in your portfolio regularly
- Prospecting your portfolio and creating and managing retentions sales pipeline tightly to meet and exceed sales targets
- Enhancing relationships with current and prospective clients by leveraging the credibility gained through knowledge and performance of the client’s business environment and requirements
- Identify, address, and resolve concerns / queries within the business turn-around time frames required
- Gather documentation, package applications, submit and negotiate with the credit department on behalf of your clients
- Maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings
- Able to drive volume personally and through the team with tenacity in a tough economic climate with business owners/doctors who are busy and have options
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to management
- Working cohesively with a cross-functional team
- Influence stakeholders, processes, and Salesforce build to deliver on Retentions objectives
Core Competencies:
- Extensive knowledge of sales principles and processes
- Strong sales and closing skills
- Process and data quality management
- Proficient in MS office and any CRM software (Salesforce would be highly advantageous)
- Ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients
- Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Qualifications:
- Minimum qualification: Diploma or similar relevant qualification (NQF6)
Experience:
- Proven track record of successfully retaining and upselling to existing accounts
- Experience in working with a high volume of clients via email, digitally and telephonically
Salary: Market related
