Job Description:

Purpose:

A specialist metallurgical engineering and EPCM organisation is seeking a Junior AI & Database Developer who is responsible to support the company’s digital transformation initiatives through the development and maintenance of databases, reporting systems, AI-enabled solutions, automation tools, and knowledge management platforms. The role works closely with engineering, project, and business teams to improve information accessibility, process efficiency, and business intelligence capabilities

Key Job Outputs:

  • Support AI and automation projects using Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, and related technologies
  • Assist in developing and maintaining databases and data repositories
  • Build dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Support SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 integrations
  • Assist with document management and knowledge management systems
  • Develop scripts and applications using Python, SQL, and related technologies
  • Troubleshoot data and reporting issues
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and business functions


Core Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Python, SQL, Power BI
  • Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot
  • Azure fundamentals, database design principles
  • An interest in AI technologies and analytics


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field


Experience:

  • 0–3 years of relevant experience, including internships or graduate projects
  • Industry Exposure:
  • Interest in mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, engineering design, EPCM project delivery, and industrial data systems


Salary: Market related
