Purpose:

A leading financial services organisation is seeking a Senior Associate: Private Equity who is responsible for identifying, evaluating, structuring, and executing private equity transactions while supporting deal origination, stakeholder management, and investment implementation across the transaction lifecycle

Key Job Outputs:

• Identify, evaluate and execute private equity investment opportunities
• Conduct financial analysis, valuation modelling, due diligence and investment assessments
• Structure and implement transactions in line with investment objectives and risk parameters
• Prepare investment papers, presentations and recommendations for internal approval processes
• Support deal origination through market research, networking and client engagement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, advisors, investors and internal stakeholders
• Manage transactions from origination through execution and implementation
• Monitor transaction progress and ensure compliance with governance, regulatory and risk requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective investment solutions
• Contribute to business development initiatives and the growth of the investment portfolio

Qualifications:

• CA(SA) preferred
• Relevant Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment Management or related field
• CFA, MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification advantageous

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Mergers & Acquisitions, Transaction Advisory or related environment
• Proven experience in deal execution and transaction management
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis experience
• Exposure to managing transactions from origination through implementation
