Purpose:

A fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment is seeking a hands-on Dispatch & Distribution Supervisor to coordinate the safe, accurate, and efficient dispatch of finished goods to customers.

This role is based in Parow, Cape Town, and preference will be given to candidates currently residing in or near the surrounding areas

Key Job Outputs:

• Coordinate daily dispatch and warehouse operations
• Plan delivery schedules, routes, and vehicle loading activities
• Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams, transport providers, sales, and production departments
• Ensure PODs, invoices, delivery notes, and dispatch documentation are accurate
• Monitor stock accuracy, inventory movements, and warehouse flow
• Ensure finished goods are correctly labelled, wrapped, and dispatched on time
• Lead and coordinate warehouse and dispatch staff to meet operational targets
• Maintain housekeeping, 5S standards, and compliance with safety and OHS procedures
• Conduct forklift and vehicle inspections and ensure safe loading practices
• Resolve dispatch, delivery, and stock-related issues proactively

Ideal Candidate

• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, warehousing, logistics, or distribution
• Strong dispatch coordination, route planning, and inventory control experience
• Hands-on operational and leadership capability
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict delivery deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Computer literate with warehouse/logistics systems exposure

• Computer literacy – Microsoft office suite and MFGpro
• Time management skills
• Planning and organising skills
• Excellent customer service skills

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 matric certificate
• Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or Warehousing advantageous

Experience:

• 2–3+ years’ experience in dispatch, warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations
• Highly Advantageous:
• Route planning and driver coordination experience
• Supervisory or team leadership exposure
  
• WMS / ERP systems experience
  
• Exposure to 5S, operational efficiency, or continuous improvement
