Job Description:

Purpose:

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an FX:Acquisition Dealer to join an established team of four senior dealers whose primary focus is managing and growing existing client portfolios ("farmers"). The Acquisition Dealer is responsible to proactively identify, target and acquire new Global Markets client opportunities with strategically desirable clients, in order to enhance the organisation’s FX and Global Trade revenue streams and market image by utilising the organisation’s Global Trade Client Value Proposition products and services and channels


Key Job Outputs:

  • New client acquisition and revenue generation
  • Research, identify and acquire new clients to increase targeted growth in sales
  • Maintain sound relations with internal and external stakeholders to ensure ongoing pipeline of new client acquisition opportunities and growth in market share
  • Address all drivers of the Collaboration Model between own business area in Global Markets & internal stakeholders. Proactively co-ordinate across-boundary collaboration with internal stakeholders so as to maximise synergies within the Group
  • Actively seek opportunities to cross-sell Global Markets products, solutions and Global Trade CVP across the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal and Free State province which would require extensive traveling
  • Provide effective Foreign Exchange \ Global Trade proposals to potential clients by understanding Global Markets products, Global Trade CVP and channels, and provide solutions in line with client requirements
  • Analyse the foreign exchange market to determine trends and opportunities so as to provide meaningful information to clients
  • Identify potential new clients from various sources such as the financial media, other clients (competitors, peers, vertical & horizontal supply chain), Commercial & Corporate Divisions, etc
  • Capitalise on client knowledge and relationships to identify new client opportunities
  • Ensure dealing mandates are in place for clients
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal controls, as well as the ACI FX Global Code
  • Manage operating risks at targeted levels driven by internal & external guidelines & regulatory/compliance/governance requirements

Qualifications:

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
  • Preferred: Relevant Honours degree and/or ACI Certification


Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in FX products in a financial markets’ environment with a strong sales background
  • Knowledge of Foreign Exchange markets
  • Ability to interact with clients
  • Knowledge of Global Trade Products and channels
  • FX hedging (vanilla FX & FXD), Commodities, and Interest Rate hedging products
