Job Description:

Purpose:

An ICT distribution organisation is seeking an Internal Channel Sales Specialist to develop and maintain long-term, value-driven relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and proactive support. The role focuses on driving sustainable sales growth through new business development, account management, and aligning solutions with customer needs and organisational objectives


Key Job Outputs:

Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain, nurture, and expand the existing customer base through strong, value-driven relationships
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end customer experience to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
  • Manage customer complaints, queries, and escalations with professionalism and urgency
  • Organise customer meetings, reviews, and feedback sessions with clear follow-ups

Sales and Business Development

  • Conduct cold calling to secure new business and increase market penetration
  • Identify, pursue, and close new sales opportunities to achieve revenue targets
  • Perform upselling and cross-selling to maximise account value
  • Develop account strategies and growth plans tailored to each customer
  • Maintain structured sales pipelines and accurate pipeline management

Operational and Sales Support

  • Provide operational support throughout the post-sale lifecycle
  • Prepare deals, commercial proposals, and pricing quotations accurately
  • Support customers with Statements of Work (SOW) management and delivery oversight
  • Understand customer business models and recommend suitable solutions
  • Present value-added offerings aligned with business objectives

Stakeholder and Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams, brand partners, and vendors to enhance customer solutions
  • Obtain and maintain relevant product certifications to support technical credibility

Qualifications:

  • Degree, Diploma, or relevant certification in ICT advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)


Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in customer sales and account management
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a channel sales environment
  • Proven experience in IT sales and knowledge of IT products and brands
  • Experience within the ICT distribution industry advantageous
  • Strong track record of meeting targets and growing business
  • Experience using CRM systems, ERP platforms, and related tools
