Programme Enablement Manager

Job Description:

Purpose:

A financial services company is seeking Programme Enablement Manager who is responsible for driving the execution of priority initiatives, identifying risks and roadblocks before they become problems, coordinating with Business Heads to keep programmes moving, driving change management and ensuring Exco has the visibility and judgement calls needed to make good decisions quickly

Key Job Outputs:

  • Drive execution — take priority initiatives from approval to live, working directly with Business Heads to plan, sequence and run the work day to day
  • Flag blockers early — identify risks and roadblocks before they stall a programme, and bring Exco clear options, not just problems
  • Calibrate Exco's involvement — tell Exco when it needs to step in to unblock something, and just as importantly, when it doesn't — protecting its time for what actually needs it
  • Own change management — plan and drive the adoption side of every initiative: communication, training, and getting the business ready to work differently, not just technically live
  • Track relentlessly — stay close to the numbers and the detail on every active programme, using Salesforce and other tools to know what's on track, what's not, and why
  • Collaborate with Business Heads — work alongside the Business Heads who are accountable to Exco for their part of delivery, coordinating across teams so nothing falls through the gaps between them
  • Close the loop — make sure every initiative lands cleanly in BAU with clear ownership, and follow up post-launch to confirm it's actually delivering
  • Track priority programmes daily, know exactly where each one stands, and use that visibility to keep things moving without Exco having to ask
  • Surface blockages, risks and slipping timelines before they become problems, with a clear read on what genuinely needs Exco's attention right now

Core Competencies:

  • High agency and a sense of urgency
  • A vested interest in getting stuff done
  • Judgement on when to escalate
  • A genuine change manager
  • Comfortable in the weeds
  • A natural collaborator
  • Business-curious
  • Ability to execute, coordinate and keep everyone moving
  • Ability to build trust and work effectively with Business Heads without direct authority over them
  • Ability to build a deep working knowledge of how the business runs end-to-end, including enough Salesforce fluency to know what's actually doable

Qualifications:

  • A business degree or equivalent

Experience:

  • Senior project or programme management experience — you've owned delivery against real deadlines and metrics, not just coordinated meetings
  • High-influence roles where you got things done without relying on positional authority
